People in my circle often ask me, “Cécile, why do you choose to openly discuss your journey of separation, divorce, and emotional and physical abuse? Shouldn’t this be a private matter? Don’t you think it could disadvantage your career and make you appear like a failure?” 🤔

My response to this is simple: “I cannot control what others think of me, and honestly, their opinions do not matter to me.” 🤷🏻‍♀️

Navigating separation or divorce as a working mother in a highly demanding job, while dealing with emotional and physical abuse, and managing two young children and a career simultaneously is incredibly challenging! It’s an extremely isolating path to tread.

When I experienced this, even though I was surrounded by friends and family, I felt an overwhelming sense of loneliness. How could they possibly understand the depths of my emotions?

That’s precisely why, everyone! That’s why I decided to share my journey openly—to become a voice for other working mothers so that they know they are not alone!

Abuse can happen to women (and men, for that matter) of all ages and professional levels. Being a “high performer” at work does not make you less vulnerable as a human being. However, society’s expectations tend to increase with your job position. Yet, when dreams shatter and abuse strikes, you’re never truly prepared.

So, I’m spreading the word to all you working mothers going through separation or divorce:

YOU ARE NOT ALONE, AND YOU CAN DO THIS, MAMA! ❤️

❌ You are not a failure!
❌ You are not weak!
❌ You are not a bad mother for wanting a better life for your children!

✅ You are a warrior queen!
✅ You are a survivor!
✅ You are a role model!
✅ You are a phoenix!

Stand tall, rise above the challenges, invest in your healing, and let your light guide others through their darkest places!

Together, let’s rewrite the narrative and empower one another on this remarkable journey of strength and resilience.
